How Wisconsin Delivers Secure Elections

2026 Elections: 

  • NO Spring Primary for 2026
  • April 7, 2026 - Spring Election
  • August 11, 2026 – Partisan Primary
  • November 3, 2026 – General Election

 

April 7th, 2026 Spring Election Information:

  • March 10, 2026: Last day for electors to begin to acquire residence for the Spring Election. In most cases, electors moving after this date may vote from their prior address.
  • March 17, 2026: Deadline for municipal clerks to send absentee ballots to voters. Municipal clerks send absentee ballots to voters one business day after receiving a sufficient request. All absentee ballots must be recorded in WisVote.
  • March 18, 2026: Deadline for voters to use mail or internet submissions to register for participation in the Spring Election. After this date, electors must register in person in the municipal clerk's office or at the polling place. Must be postmarked no later than the 3rd Wednesday before the election. Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m.
  • April 2, 2026: Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for regular and overseas electors to request absentee ballots by mail online, email or fax for the Spring Election.

August 11, 2026 Partisan Primary Election Information

  • June 25, 2026: Deadline for municipal clerks to send absentee ballots to electors with valid requests on file for the Partisan Primary. Municipal clerks send absentee ballots to voters one business day after receiving a sufficient request. All absentee ballots must be recorded in WisVote.
  • July 14, 2026: Last day for electors to begin to acquire residence for the Partisan Primary. In most cases, electors moving after this date may vote from their prior address.
  • July 22, 2026: Deadline for voters to use mail or internet submissions to register for participation in the Partisan Primary. After this date, electors must register in person in the municipal clerk's office or at the polling place on election day.
  • August 6, 2026: Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for regular and overseas electors to request absentee ballots by mail (online, email or fax) for Partisan Primary.

November 3, 2026 General Election Information

Register to Vote:

All eligible electors must be registered to vote prior to voting. Voters may register online at myvote.wi.gov, register in person at the polling place on Election Day, or contact the Town of Farmington by phone to request a Voter Registration Application.

If submitting a registration application by mail you will need to provide a copy of acceptable proof of residence.
