Now that we are in 2026, voters may start to request mailed absentee ballots for all 2026 elections through December 31, 2026, with one application. You can also request absentee ballots for only certain elections in 2026.

To submit your absentee ballot request, please visit: https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/Vote-Absentee-By-Mail

Search for your name and date of birth, and follow all the prompts.

Please note:

Absentee ballot requests do not roll over from year to year unless you are indefinitely confined. Any request submitted in 2025 does not carry forward into 2026.

If you are not indefinitely confined, you must submit a new absentee ballot application each calendar year to receive absentee ballots. 

IMPORTANT: If you are having your absentee ballot mailed out of state or to a non-permanent residence, please be sure to contact your local United States Postal Service to ensure you can receive mail at the address you provided, so there are no delays in delivery. 

2026 Election Dates: 

• February 17, 2026 – Spring Primary (only if needed)
• April 7, 2026 – Spring Election
• August 11, 2026 – Partisan Primary
• November 3, 2026 – General Election
